Asking for Prayers
Need to ask for a lot of prayers for my wife. To make a long story short, she has degenerative disc disease. She had back surgery about 4 years ago to have a cage put in to keep 2 of her vertebrae apart. The disc is completely gone there. Well, the hardware at some point this year broke. She is having surgery on Dec 2 to remove the broken hardware. 4-6 weeks later they will go back in to install new hardware. I have good insurance but there will still be out of pocket expenses that are going to hurt. On top of that, because my wife has not been at her job for a year, they do not legally have to keep her job (FMLA requires you to be there for one year) which means they dont have to pay short term disability or the long term stuff she was paying for out of her paycheck. So she is losing her job, we are losing her income and we will essentially have 2 deductibles and out of pocket expenses to pay as one surgery is in 2016 and the other is in 2017. Calendar year deductible is going to bite us in the rump.
We need your prayers to make it through the next 4-6 months on one income. I am already doing what I can to cut back some expenses but it is not going to be enough. Please pray and pray often. I know God is not going to let us go under but it will definitely be a stressful time.
